Privacy Policy

Mandu is made by Three Cat Studio LLC. Here's exactly what we collect and what happens to it — short version: only what the app needs to work, never sold, no ads.

What we collect

• Account: your email, an optional name (so Mandu knows what to call you), and a password (stored securely hashed by our account provider — we never see it).
• Learning data: your level, daily goal, streak, saved words, lesson progress, and plan status.
• Conversations: the messages you type or speak to Mandu, so Mandu can reply.
• Voice: when you tap the mic, your recording is sent for transcription so Mandu can understand you. Mandu doesn't keep the audio.

Who processes it

Mandu runs on trusted services that each handle one job:

• Supabase — accounts and your learning data
• Anthropic — the AI that powers Mandu's replies (your messages are sent there to generate responses)
• ElevenLabs — turns your voice into text, and Mandu's words into speech
• Stripe — payments (your card details go only to Stripe; we never see the numbers)
• Vercel — hosting

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data. Ever.
• We don't show ads or share your information with advertisers.
• We don't use your conversations for anything except making Mandu talk to you.

Cookies & storage

Mandu uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences like your level and voice choice. No tracking cookies.

Deleting your data

Want your account and data deleted? Contact us (through the email on your billing receipt, or by replying to any email we've sent you) and we'll remove it.

Children

Mandu isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes meaningfully, the "last updated" date above will change with it.
